Mennonites believe that Jesus, when he lived on earth, revealed a way for people to live peacefully and nonviolently. Mennonites believe in giving ultimate loyalty to God rather than to the nations in which they live, or the military. Southeastern Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers

Rochester Mennonite Church is a member of the Southeastern Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers which is a group of concerned individuals who have come together to promote world peace and justice through non-violent means. It aims to be a vehicle of communication between all groups of the area to promote united efforts toward peace and justice.
